Last year I spent a week photographing for Oxford Fashion Week, it was a great experience if a little oversubscribed by photographers. Nonetheless I managed to get in some different places so that I could get different shots of the models and the clothes on show. Most of this was done using the available light rather than flash, as I find long distance flash a little harsh and not very flattering.
Roll on to this year, and I’m gearing up again to cover the Fashion Week which kicks off at the end of February. In the meantime there is a photography exhibition being held at the 03 Gallery in Oxford Castle complex and three of my images from last year are in it. The exhibition runs from the 19th February to the 20th March, and the official press launch for the week will be held there on the 28th February, then various shows throughout the following week at locations like Malmaison, Oxford Town Hall, the 03 Gallery itself and a few yet to be disclosed locations.
If you’re interested in fashion and can get to one of the shows or the exhibition, then it’s well worth it.
